Miller Mania by definition:

My blog's name I thought was very appropriote for my life. Here's the definition for "mania":
1. "excitement manifested by mental and physical hyperactivity, disorganization of behavior, and elevation of mood"
2. "excessive or unreasonable enthusiasm"
Sounds about right, huh?

Silver Dollar City

Yesterday we went to Silver Dollar City in Branson. My parents & my brother & his family also went. (My brother was nice enough to let us use his guest passes.) Tommy & April went up Friday night & got a hotel. Mom & Dad came over Saturday morning & rode with us.
The girls were very excited to get to ride some rides & see the Veggie Tales show. After the Veggie Tales show they got to go meet Bob the tomato & Larry the cucumber & have their picture taken with them. However, because they are my children & scared of things like that, you'll understand why in the picture Paul is holding Lillie (who wouldn't even look at them once it was our turn) & Keeley is clinging to Paul's leg...a safe distance away from both characters, about 2 feet! Funny. BUT, they did get to meet them & enjoyed it when it was over. :o)
They played & played in a kids area that has these air gun things that shoot foam balls at targets. Keeley was so proud that she could put the balls in the gun AND shoot it all by herself. Lillie had a blast just picking up balls & putting them into the guns. Of course, she had to be lifted up each time. Maybe she'll have a growth spurt soon.
Lillie loved playing in the water. It was like at a splash park where the water randomly shoots up from the ground. She thought it was great. Keeley didn't like the surprise of it. It was the perfect day for playing in the water too. It was sunny & warm! Since we went to 2 shows, it wasn't bad because we were able to cool off from being outside.
The second show we saw was called JEERKS. It was a rhythm, stomp type of group from Sweeden. That was Paul's favorite thing we did. It was pretty neat. We'd gotten 2 frozen lemonades & the girls finished those off during that. I think they enjoyed the show too though.
We wandered around in a store or 2 & then took a ride on the train. Lillie had never been on a train & enjoyed that. It was a bit crowded, but a nice ride through part of the park.
We took lunch with us & decided to have dinner in the park. Of course it was yummy. Then we went to the show that starts when the park closes. (I know. That doesn't make much sense, but all the booths & shops close except down at the ampitheater where the show is.) It was a bunch of country music & a fantastic pianist! I've never seen anyone play so fast! Crazy. Anyway, Paul & Dad bought funnel cakes so we snacked on that until the end of the show & then we headed home!
The girls were SO tired. I was impressed that they didn't fall asleep at the show, but I guess eating funnel cakes was incentive enough to keep them awake. They fell asleep pretty quickly after we left & slept the whole way home. (I WISH I could say they slept all night, but I don't have that kind of luck. That is a whole post in itself.)
I'm really glad we decided to go. We had fun just being together & watching the girls have so much fun.
Here are a bunch of pictures from our family fun day!

You don't even look pregnant in any of these pics. Like me you just have a little basketball under your shirt and it can only be seen standing up. :)

Looks like a great day!! Freeman keeps telling me we need another trip to Branson - I think I'd have to agree with him. We LOVE it there and Silver Dollar city is one of our FAVORITE places ever. Great pictures - everyone looks like they had a blast!

Oh my gosh, that looks like SO much fun!! I'm so excited for those fun family outings. And I agree with the girls, as much fun as Larry the Cucumber is, I would hold my daddy's leg too. :)

I Believe in Christ

As I reflect on all that I have been blessed with I am overwhelmed with gratitude & love for the Lord. I have been blessed with a wonderful family. Two girls who are full of love & life. A husband who works so hard to support our family, & still finds the energy to be a fantastic father. A comfortable home with all the necessities of life. I have been blessed to have been born in the USA where I have so many freedoms, including the freedom to worship as I choose. I have been blessed with goodly parents who love the Lord & have always been a steadfast example of faith & following Jesus Christ's example. I have been blessed to know that I am a child of God & can return to live with him someday if I but follow Christ's example & keep the covenants I have made with my Father in Heaven. I know that Jesus Christ came to the earth & was the perfect example of how we should live our lives in order to become more like our Heavenly Father. I know that God loves me, & all who walk the earth, so much that He allowed Christ to suffer for the sins of the world so that we can all repent (as often as is needed) & be cleansed of our sins. I know that Christ died on the cross & was resurrected so that all mankind may be resurrected as well.
I know that the Lord loves us so much that he restored the fullness of his gospel to the earth through a prophet named Joseph Smith. I know that the Lord has given us the Book of Mormon as another testament of Christ or another witness of Christ in addition to the Bible. I have read the Book of Mormon & have prayed to know of the truthfulness of it. I received this confirmation via the Holy Spirit. I know that it is true. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet. I know that the Lord wants to communicate with us & that He does so through a living prophet, Thomas S. Monson.
I know that our God is a loving God & that as our Heavenly Father he wants us to be eternally happy by allowing families to be together forever - not just here on the earth. Isn't that wonderful! He has made this possible through the sacred sealing ordinance. I have been blessed to have been sealed, married, to my eternal companion for time & all eternity, not just until death do us part. What a comfort this is to me! I can have my family with me forever if we obey the Lord's commandments & do His will! What could make heaven better than being with your family?I am so thankful for my knowledge of all of these things. I believe in Christ; I know that my redeemer lives; and I know that I am a child of God & that He loves me.
